First, the explaination: I had to apply some rules to keep this list as “fair” as possible.
- No EP’s. As I said before, I am looking for quality AND quantity. And obviously more quantity makes room for more quality. So, I apologize to those who only released EP’s this year.
- Why 23 albums? Susan Bauer Lee (of Tim Lee 3) and I had a small facebook posting “conversation” about the fact that EVERYONE has a TOP 10 or 20 or 30 list. Why not go with an odd number? And I didn’t want to go as high as 30, so 23 seems like a fair number.
- I’m not numbering them. This is a Top 23 LIST. Not a countdown. So, they are listed alphabetically.

So, there you have it. Like other lists that I have done in the past, I am expecting some of the unprofessional indie bands who didn’t make the list to contact me and complain. My e-mail is Von@AmericanaRoots.com
Take care. I’ll talk to you all on Thursday with a new episode of The Americana Rock Mix. It’s a Christmas edition.
